And by scared of it I mean he’s scared of the potty,m.. and he’s scared of his own body. He get scared and starts crying when he needs a wee even with a nappy on, without a nappy on o can see he’s holding it as he’s getting uncomfortable, whiney and sometimes a little drop of wee comes out and he looks down at his penis and starts crying more backing away from himself.
I had words with DD before potty training him to not make a fuss and to say well done and be kind when he does do a wee or a poo and she did for the first half of the day, then I think wi tbh all the excitement of potty training she just screamed.
I’ve spoken to her and explained what’s happened now he thinks it’s something scary and she hasn’t done it again. She’s been encouraging since and so have we. We’ve tried treats after successful potty wee’s, we’ve tried going back to nappy’s but again he’s just scared when he need to go regardless of whether he’s wearing a nappy or not.
I really don’t know what to do now. I didn’t want to quit as he was going so well and was initially excited by having a new potty ect.
What do I do?!😭
