Another damn kettle bites the dust - elp!!

After usually getting plastic kettles and getting fed up of them conking out after a year, I bought a fancy glass kettle a little while ago. Was fab until the bloody filter recently came unattached - it's basically a strip of filter attached to the lid so not the little v-shape filter cups you usually get in the lid: https://www.argos.co.uk/product/9497054?clickPR=plp:2:6

Does anyone know if I could get a new one as it's been less than a year since I bought it?

Or if I can repair/replace the filter?

Is it still under guarantee. As its newish

I don't think I registered it online -just had a look and it says it had to be done within 28 days of buying it :( I was under the impression you got a year guarantee if you kept the box and receipt...
