Or did you end up flattened and in bed, only out of bed after nine weeks from this Covid, not Covid virus, but if I am flattened I am flattened , I pretty sure it will beat shingles any day. 😁

TIA

Not had the vaccine, but I'm still in daily pain from shingles over a month ago. Definitely have the vaccine if you can.

DevaleraSpawnOfSatan · 21/02/2024 12:17

@Definitelylivedin

I definitely will do, I was just enjoying the little window of normal for the first time in weeks, nay months, so was mentally trying to prepare myself.

Thanks all.

No after effects whatsoever for me.

Moier · 21/02/2024 12:22

I'm having part one next week along with pneumonia one.
Hopefully I'll be OK.
I had shingles once..and apparently there is a stronger possibility you can get it a second time if you've had it.

Combinedvakue · 21/02/2024 12:22

Friend had it recently and felt awful for first 24 hours, everyone reacts differently but might be worth bearing in mind.

donteatthedaisies0 · 21/02/2024 12:57

@Moier the pneumonia was fine too , no problem .

SweetBirdsong · 21/02/2024 13:00

I know about a dozen people who have had the shingles vaccine. Not a single issue between them. It's not the live vaccine now, so it doesn't give you a little dose of the disease now. You don't even know you've had it.

Hoglet70 · 21/02/2024 13:02

My Mums had it and no side effects.

DevaleraSpawnOfSatan · 21/02/2024 22:28

All done, just developing a bit of a headache now, and site of injection is tender, that aside nothing else to report.

Thank you everyone.

Sore arm but nothing else. I was desperate for it as I’m prone to shingles.

moonriverandme · 21/02/2024 22:41

I've had both doses. Fine with first, felt a bit off with second. Both times my arm was really sore & red especially aftervthe first jab took ages to fade.
