This awful virus

I feel like I've been on a 3 week bender
Coughing like a 90 year old chain smoker
Throat like razors
Nasal drip and headache
Just horrid
DS15 has had it for around a week now
Just wanted to whine

I struggled into work last week with what seemed like just a cold but felt awful, DD1 who doesn't live with me has had a few days off work which is rare for her and DD2 is still coughing and been off work for a week and now has a sick note although dr refused to give her anything for the hellish cough. Literally neither of us have slept with the barking cough all night. Mine has turned into sinusitis with a sore head and face. And I'm off for half term!

We have a new starter, small team so I have to go to work. 9 hour shift tomorrow then off Thursday but doing O/T and had a boozy work trip to London last Friday. The perfect storm.
The cough is the worst!

This is week four for me
Nose ok ..although seems to drip down throat when laying down
Cough hideous and painful ..takes my breath away
Saw GP yesterday who gave penicillin
Spent today off work but I'm going in tomorrow ..just can't afford to be off.

Week 7 for me started with the flu and bronchitis then a chest infection I’m now on my 3rd course of antibiotics and have also had a course of steroids.Chest xray clear sputum sample results not back yet.If no better after these antibiotics my gp’s referring me to the respiratory clinic.

I had it bad a few weeks ago. Every cough felt like it tore the lining of my throat and lungs. Green phlegm, and sound like I smoke 60 a day. I never get chesty with viruses, but this one made a bee-line (b-line?), to my throat and lungs.

I did cough up blood at one point, but was too weak to get seen. It was fucking awful.

Get well soon, and don’t do as I did and wait for it to get better. Get seen if you can!

I haven't got the cough but DD2 has been to Dr twice and been given nothing so night 10 of no sleep.... fun

Have dragged myself into work just feel terrible
