What’s everyone’s opinion on this?
People (mainly women) making money from using their children, who cannot or don’t understand consent, within vlogs, posts, Ad’s or stories to sell products or even just as point of reverence to their online narrative..
ie Mummy/family vloggers/influencers
I’ve just been on a very well know female Instagramers page, via another site and was shocked to see, while on holiday in Dubai, her AD linking (an affiliated link which will earn her money if anyone was to follow/click it and then buy said product) her small child in swimwear and then following it with a picture of a diamond she bought herself.
It felt so grimy and mortally wrong and I’m absolutely furious that in this day and age there is no one worrying about child exploitation and protection, safe guarding and the online trail that said child will carry with her through life.
This is also just one example of so many, where children’s welfare is being compromised by views and money (Don’t get me started on the Ingham’s!!)
Im interested on any points of views on this does anyone know of any one advocating or trying to change rights to protect those children?
(Also before anyone says it’s none of your business, I believe child protection is everyone’s business!!)
