I’m fighting a bit of a low mood just now, and consciously trying to see the positive things in life just now, please let me share in yours!

mine is that a DIY job I started last week is turning out better than I thought it might

Mine's a DIY job too. I fixed a problem with our heating last night, so woke up to warm radiators this morning. IT's been a stressy week so I was thrilled that it was sorted.

Please tell me how you did it! Mine isn’t working g properly either.

@AmaryllisChorus Trust me, you don't not want me to live with you, that cupboard held 4 years worth of doom. The only reason it was 4 years worth and not 22 years worth is because I had a new kitchen 4 years ago...
Look how pretty it is though...

It is a thing of beauty!

@Whatsupduc mine was an issue with the thermostat not talking to the boiler. New batteries and a copuple of attempts to pair them again got it sorted.

What's your heating problem? Let's see if the people on here can help.

Whatsupduc · 23/02/2024 16:47

One radiator not working. The other not as hot as it used to be. Hot water is incredibly erratic. One day it will be scalding and the next tepid when set to go on and off at the same times. I have to whack the thermostat right up to get the radiators to even heat up some days. There is just no rhyme or reason. I have looked at videos on bleeding raditors but can't get the key to fit. The boiler was service recently.

I have just started to get involved in online dating and have received some lovely emails from men who are potential matches.

Just the sweetness of my lovely DS. He's 12, and growing up fast; but so loving, kind and hardworking. We've had a lovely couple of days pottering, doing odd bits of work / homework and enjoying each other's company.

I was catching up on a pod cast and they played Caleb from Clarksons farms's charity record. I don't know the title but Google Caleb I hate sheep rap. It's hysterical and really made me smile.

Today I cleaned out the undersink cupboard.

Now, this might not sound hugely cheering, but it's been smelling dank and horrible after a sink leak recently, and I have ADHD so can ignore things like this for months (whilst quietly brooding about how awful it is and how smelly and how it really just needs cleaning out). Swabbed it out, threw away a load of stuff, washed all my cleaning cloths and hung them on the line to dry.

My whole kitchen smells better already.

A 6 months and 20 minute job? Well done on getting it done, I can totally relate to that kind of inertia

Found a cough medicine that actually works!

Started binge-watching Law and Order SVU, (I'm in love with Olivia Benson now).

She is a Goddess!

Anything to do with holidays make me happy.
We've gone through our holiday clothes this morning, going to fuerteventura in 2 weeks and I'm living for it.

Lifebeganat50 · 24/02/2024 13:01

@Notimeforaname I'm exactly the same with a holiday-always need to know I have some flights in the bag
