3 year old rash - any ideas please?

My 3 year old has had a bit of an upset tummy the last few days, bit more tired and whingey than usual and has tonight come up with red, raised and spotty palms. He has had HFM before, it looked a bit different last time though. Would you say this needs to be seen by the GP?

are they itchy? Looks like my DDs when she gets itchy hands, GP told us it was contact dermatitis from cold weather/water/washing hands frequently. We was given a steroid cream as the itching became so bad she would be screaming crying unable to sleep unless someone sat rubbing her hands until she was in deep sleep. It was awful for everyone! We try and limit outside water play now and always make sure her hands are thoroughly dry.

They aren't itchy so far as I can tell, he hasn't complained to me and I haven't noticed him itching them

Could be measles. Could be a reaction to something. Is it anywhere else? Check temperature and spots elsewhere. Can get rashes after viruses.
