Planner thread!

Just wondered if anyone here has a paper planner?

Filofax, Erin condren, Franklincovey, van der spek, gillio etc.

I am 28 and find the planner community on FB to be quite bitchy so reaching out on here despite having no kids.

I’ve tried so many over the years, recently ordered a custom VDS which cost around £400 (takes 8 weeks to make) because none of the others were really doing it for me in terms of design. It’s been fun to design one by myself. Hopefully I like it just as much in person. I’m using Franklin covey compact inserts. I like true a6 too but they’re too hard to get hold of and I just don’t have the time or inclination to make them. I’ve tried stalogy and Hobonichi, but I just don’t like a bound book very much, despite how annoying rings can get while writing. It is worth it for the customisability.

I do a bit of YT but am very much a tiny channel with only around a hundred subscribers. As I say, I avoid the groups on social media as I had some trouble critiquing a product and names and shamed the company and someone rang the police saying I’d committed slander.

i still have an iPhone but there’s something satisfying about pen and paper!
Luckily my partner indulges my stationery fetish although he doesn’t understand it 😂 he used to work in the Filofax factory though and has plenty of tales to tell.

Love a planner but not a Filofax style. I think it’s just too 80’s maybe. I find so much of the size of the complete planner wasted on the rings. I like a nice thick papered notebook style planner. Either a dotted bullet journal (A5) for life or a Clever Fox style planner for work. If I found a really nice, perfect premium planner I would pay lots. Alas, I am still chasing the elusive perfect (for me) planner!!
