Walking through Hyde Park at night?

We have a show to attend in the Royal Albert Hall at the end of April. Myself (female) and my adult daughter.

Staying in a hotel in Bayswater so almost straight across the park.

We were in London this weekend and walked down Broad Way past Kensington Palace, I was disappointed to see there was no lighting along this path.

This is the way we were hoping to walk - probably will be 10pm ish.

Is anyone familiar enough with the area to know if it’s ok to walk across Hyde park after dark?

Yeah I wouldn't.

They lock the gates at dusk, so by 10pm you won't be able to walk through the park.

Nope. Take the long way.

Annoyingly they close the gates after 10pm. I hate the idea of "no go' areas.

I doubt it's super-dangerous but it's dark and locked, so that isn't a great plan! Get the number 70 bus, it'll drop you at Queensway station.

It’s locked so the only people you’d come across are those you’d probably want to avoid
