Stained mugs, can you use bleach to clean?

Ive got a few mugs that are tea stained, Im sure I read diluted bleach can remove. Anyone do this?

Use a little diluted thin bleach not thick. Good as new.

Soda crystals in boiling water here! We also use the soda crystals to clean the washing machine, just chuck them in the drum and put a hot wash on.

I've just googled what steradent tablets are made of.
Sodium bicarbonate is the main ingredient.
Which means that in my 50's I've learned something new.
