Is this turkey mince okay?

Cooking with turkey thigh mince for first time. Didn’t realise it’s a day past use by date. Top side is a different colour to bottom side on getting out of package as pictured. No odour. Is this normal or should I not use it?

God no, especially as it’s out of date too!

Thanks! Only recently started cooking with meat for the kids. I’m quite the beginner! X

Sometimes meat can go like that when the top is exposed to air.

As a general rule though I wouldn't eat poultry out of date.

@VivaVivaa I am a terrible cook but I would always rather be safe than sorry 🙂

Totally fine - I’d use it today.

I'm.a chef. I wouldn't use that. If air has got into the packaging then the use by label is irrelevant. That is not fit to eat.
