Posting for traffic - does this 100% sound like a miscarriage? Very worried it could be ectopic

Hi, so I sadly miscarried 10 days ago at six weeks pregnant thereabouts.

Started with pink spotting, then heavy bleeding with clots and central, strong type period cramping for 3-4 days. Then another 2 days of normal period type bleeding and then it stopped. I’m sure I passed the tissue on one of the first days (it was grey, purple ish sorry for TMI).
My symptoms went almost immediately and tests were fading.

Even though it’s ten days later I still have the faintest line on a pregnancy test. Extremely faint and the test is an ultra sensitive one but , is this a worry? For some reason I’m panicking about retained products or worse ectopic but I have had no signs or symptoms of either of these. It’s a terrible photo but there is a very faint pink line

Thank you for your help

Hi, I'm sorry you are going through this and I don't have any answers just wanted to offer a hand hold. Have you been to the hospital to confirm a miscarriage? I'm pretty sure it takes a few days for pregnancy hormones to leave your system so this could be the reason for a line on a test. If you are concerned though please seek medical help. Hope you are ok

No, that sounds normal honestly. My miscarriages have always involved passing greyish tissue and the test has stayed positive up to 9 weeks post miscarriage. Keep testing if you’re worried - often with ectopic it would get darker as it can start going up.

As above my tests were positive for 9 weeks afterwards and I had to have multiple hcg tests to ensure the numbers were going down.

If you're concerned please contact your gp tomorrow.
