I went cold turkey 2 weeks ago, I’d been on them for 6 months after my break up and decided after talking with my therapist it was just time to come off them. So my pack ran out and I just stopped taking them, but my anxiety, trouble sleeping and just general state of nerves has been so awful.

I honestly don’t think it would be this horrible. Like I can’t eat well or sleep well, the anxiety is just vile. I felt like this when I first started them and now I feel like it coming off them. It’s just so crappy.

Anyone else been on these and come off and felt even more shit than when on them.

You feel terrible because it's a quick stop. Originally your depression crept up on you inch by inch until you couldn't function. The St John's Wort took a few days but got you through.
So what you've got now is a combination of withdrawal from St John's Wort PLUS the depression coming back with a vengeance...which means it isn't time to come off yet. Wean yourself back onto the St John's Wort and ease off it in much slower increments next time to assess your depression. Right now you still need it.
SJW is a strong herb: it makes significant changes to brain chemistry. It can mask the effects of conventional medicines or multiply their effects. Unlike many 'complementary therapies' it can be very powerful.
