Synthetic clothing and overheating all the time

Anyone else struggle with overheating because of synthetic clothing?

Yes I'm a certain age and a bit overweight, but I've always struggled with acrylic jumpers etc. All the clothing seems to be synthetic now and I even have a dress that's made out of recycled plastic bottles (really wish I'd read the label as I can't wear it) 🥵

I like linen as it's cool, but it always looks so crumpled Confused Cotton clothing is moderately expensive and not as available as it used to be.

It's meant to be winter yet I'm currently wearing summer clothing.

Anyone else the same?

Cotton clothing is out there for not that much, you just need to look. I've got cotton tops from places like H&M and Next, have a look also at Earth Wardrobe and La Redoute.

Yeah synthetic makes my armpits all sweaty.

even pre-menopause I couldn’t stand man-made fibres. They just don’t breathe
happily stick to cotton linen wool and silk, even if I have to buy it secondhand

OP, I've never been able to wear synthetic fibres, they leave me uncomfortable and suffering with sweat rash. Horrible.

All my clothes are cotton, wool, linen or (a few) silk. Plus some higher quality viscose. I shop everywhere from Tesco & M&S to Boden, Celtic & Co, Me+Em, and the local boutiques.

The trick is to search for natural fibres, and don't rush. There are decent clothes out there. It takes dedicated browsing time to find them.
