If we like Southwold, Wells-next-the-sea and Westward Ho! where else would we like on the south coast?

We're trying to decide where to go for a week in the summer, two adults and a teen who likes the beach & cafes etc.
We're trying to find somewhere new on the south coast. Cornwall is too expensive & a bit too far, and we've already been to Salcombe, Whitstable, Margate/Brighton, Dorset/Lyme Regis. We are going to Wales later in the year (Tenby).

Dose anyone know of any hidden gems, please?
We like staying in cottages and something near the sea would be lovely!
Am I asking the impossible? 😁

We had a nice week in Swanage a few years ago. There was lots to do and the beaches were OK. It was a PITA to get to tho and the beaches were not as nice as Tenby (where we usually went!) but you did say south coast.

Tbh I don't think you can beat Pembrokeshire for a bucket-and-spade beach holiday.

I went to Southwold fir the first time last year. I loved it. My friend has gone there for years and it really reminds me of Whitstable which I also love 😘
