What is it and how much does it bring in?

I've got some time from now until Easter to get something together but I need some inspiration and a structured idea.
I was thinking along the lines of informative printables but am exploring.

Print on demand and digital products. My best advice is to learn SEO!

Draconis · 17/02/2024 10:29

Thanks @KindleGirlie. I had no idea what that was. Would it take long to learn? I'll have 2 free days a week that I can dedicate to this project.

Yes! So instead of just thinking ‘I want to make a household management binder printable’ you would start with some research to see if people are actually searching for it and buying it. Then once created you will use SEO (search engine optimisation) to make sure people find your listings and buy. You can find lots of ‘SEO for Etsy’ type videos on YouTube or pay for ebooks/courses.

The course I did was https://freedombynumber.com/printables-by-number/ but I got a $50 off code, probably for signing up to their newsletter. It is amazing and has more information than I need. It covers everything from creation to marketing.

That sounds like an advert for the course.

MILTOBE · 17/02/2024 16:36

It really does. I wouldn't spend your money on that, OP.

If the OP isn't actually a sock puppet

It's probably the same person with a name change

Especially because there's another post asking almost the exact same question

That post could be mine, which I started off the back of this thread; because I am interested in what others actually have, not a course to learn this.

Summerhillsquare · 17/02/2024 18:24

There's no such thing, of course.

People who are wealthy can make interest/dividends but you'd have to be rich to begin with.

Draconis · 17/02/2024 18:54

I'm a genuine poster!
I wouldn't blindly pay for something. I always look on Udemy first for courses and would do my research.

I have some ideas and just want to get something off the ground.

Have started a dividend portfolio but it is very early stages and will take time to snowball.

We use to rent out our garage to someone who has an interest in restoring old cars. It wasn’t much money, although they would look after our dog when we went on holiday for free.
