Would you go next week? Paranoid about the attacks…

Dubai is ridiculously safe. Have family there and travel there frequently for work. Go and enjoy the sun.

Yogatoga1 · 15/02/2024 22:42

I wouldn’t. But I wouldn’t go at all as I don’t like the ethos of it all. That’s just me though.

Bubnbutton · 15/02/2024 23:04

@justasmalltownmum thank you! We love it, have been before but just worried since the Israeli drama!

@Yogatoga1 thats a shame, it’s a beautiful place but there are other places that I wouldn’t go that people love, so each to their own.

What attacks??

Princesspollyyy · 15/02/2024 23:09

Yea I would go. Been before and agree with how safe it is. Absolutely wonderful place.

BreakfastAtMimis · 15/02/2024 23:17

I wouldn't ever go to Dubai.

Raspberrymoon49 · 15/02/2024 23:30

Would never go to Dubai, attacks or not, it’s unashamedly built on slave labour

Bubnbutton · 16/02/2024 23:57

@Princesspollyyy great! Thank you 🤩

I would. People are very snobby about Dubai but it’s not a really long flight, amazing weather, unbelievably high standard of hospitality. You can’t get anywhere else this time of year that compares unless you want a 13 hour flight. Great if you have kids.

katscamel · 17/02/2024 01:49

I live.in Iraq....far riskier but don't really feel a sense of danger. Dubai is, as always, very safe, I'm off there in 3 weeks.

MariaLuna · 17/02/2024 02:14

In March 2020, a High Court judgement revealed further details about his treatment of his adult daughters. Eighteen years earlier, a second daughter, Shamsa, had been abducted in the UK and returned to Dubai, where she has been captive ever since.

FrederickTrottersville · 17/02/2024 03:15

It's pissing rain at the moment

DialMforMummy · 17/02/2024 03:50

You could have attacks if you went to London or New York!
I am not wild about Dubai but it's perfectly safe day to day. Unless you are getting into fights after a brunch, drink and drive or being overly "affectionate", that is.

And it's not raining at the moment, we just had two days of rain early in the week and that was very atypical.

Beezknees · 17/02/2024 06:29

Yes. I don't fancy Dubai myself but if I did I'd certainly be going. The only places I wouldn't visit currently are active war zones, everywhere else yep.
