Now contains pork gelatine of all things! 🙄

I appreciate gelatine can be an expected ingredient in some things like jellies, but cream cheese? Really, Lidl?

I just thought I'd give a heads up as they withdrew this herb and garlic cream cheese and I was excited to see it re-appear.

It’s an UPF anyway, just put a bit of garlic and herbs into Philli? (Which is just milk cream and salt?)

You wouldn't even need to do that. there's a garlic and herbs version of Philadelphia with these ingredients:Medium Fat Soft Cheese, Garlic (1.3%), Salt, Herbs, Stabilisers (Locust Bean Gum, Carrageenan), Acid (Citric Acid).

They've ruined it, I'm sure it didn't have all these weird ingredients before.

I'm not keen on Philadelphia personally, I will get Boursin or Sainsbury's organic cream cheese instead.

Yuck. And why do they need to put sugar in it? And modified maize starch? So much crap in foods these days.

I can manage citric acid (lemon juice) - but not the others…..

Probably to cut costs as i imagine plant based would cost more and lidl is always competing to be the cheapest.. even their face masks have collagen derived from animal parts like cows in it (hydrolised collagen)
