Ideas for baked treats for dh new job.

Dh has finally got a new job after redundancy and he's chuffed as everyone seems so lovely there. I've offered to make something for him to take in as I love baking and it's kind of a first day and last day tradition.

I was thinking a traybake or something else that can cut into convenient portions so not a layer cake for example. Usually I would make mars bar crispies but dh is allergic to cocoa so any brown chocolate is out (white chocolate is fine) but looking something a bit special. I'm a decent cook and can ice and decorate but looking for new ideas. Oh blondies are out too, just have no luck with them.

Check out Jane's Patisserie she has fantastic stuff and her recipes never fail - even blondies!

I think traybakes is limited quite a bit by only being able to use white chocolate.

Could you go for fairy cakes or muffins? They still tick the individual/easy to handle box and takes the chocolate factor out of the equation - unless you wanted to make raspberry & white chocolate muffins/cupcakes etc.

Or a cherry bakewall tray bake?

A lemon tray bake would be lovely. I get all my recipes od janes patisserie too, they never fail.

I’d go for a batch of those giant chewy cookies. Easy enough to make different sorts with one batch of dough and easy to pick up and eat.

White tiffin or rocky road.
