We are visiting tomorrow (not staying at the hotel, just for the day). Can anyone offer any tips or advice about the area? Thanks

The Pilchard Inn is worth a visit-very atmospheric! I'm jealous of you-it's one of my favourite places in the world

The tractor ride is a must. 👍

Watch the tides if crossing on foot. I recall a coffee/ice-cream place on the mainland just where u go down to cross, nice view of the island.

I prefer to walk across rather than take the tractor ride, so you could check the tide times. There's nothing much to see on the island itself (other than admire the hotel) but it's a nice enough day out.

I've been many times, Bigbury Bay is my favourite UK beach (so far). Lucky you!

Venus cafe food at Bigbury beach is excellent quality (not cheap).

I’d book a surf lesson at discovery - but it’s not great weather (& you would have to arrange in advance at this time of year).

Thanks everyone. Does anyone know the tractor times as it may be high tide when we are there?

The tractor times will change, as do the tides. You'll need to google those.

Thank you @LindorDoubleChoc
