DH and I are off this week as DD is away with her DGP for half term. So we thought we would have a cheeky week off just the two of us.

DH went out with his mates for lunch and pool (his mates are teachers) this afternoon and is now completely rat arsed. I don't mind him going out and letting his hair down, he works hard and I have the same amount of free time.

What I am extremely pissed off about is, I am eating a m&s Valentine's Day meal deal by myself with only the dog for company. I have been very kind and saved his half but I really want to eat his starter.

Please tell me in wouldn't be in the wring to eat his ?

Eat it, he'll be too drunk to care 😬

I'd be very tempted if I had room. Like you say, nothing wrong with letting his hair down occasionally, but he should have remembered you had plans together.

ErrolTheDragon · 14/02/2024 17:37

He's definitely forfeited his starter, and pud if there is one. If you're too full now and it'll keep, hide it for tomorrow.

If he's really pissed there's surely a danger he'd just vom it up so you're saving him from that unpleasant experience.Halo

Yeah, I'd eat it if I was still hungry! If he's rat arsed, he won't notice or remember tbh.

His a light weight so it's more keeping up with his friends than anything else.

He's really not a bad DH but at times it's like he has reverted to an 18 year old.. oh well more pudding for me lol

Ah, faithful dog, far more deserving!

Mermaidsarereal · 14/02/2024 18:59

Eat the lot, bottle of wine and a movie with the dog sounds great to me! 😅
