NoLongerATeacher · 14/02/2024 16:58

No Irish wishwash 😂😂 thank you for making me laugh xx

Iudncuewbccgrcb · 14/02/2024 16:58

Yes, without any hesitation but I felt myself wanting to trip on wrist. Didn't though.

Quizine · 14/02/2024 17:00

The full thing is -

I wish to wash my Irish wristwatch

Now try again.

SnugglyJumpersMakeItBetter · 14/02/2024 17:02

Yes, no problem. Which is funny because normally my tongue jumps at every chance to get twisted and mess things up!

Tinytigertail · 14/02/2024 17:08

Only on the second attempt.

No problem?

I'm northern if that helps 😂

I hope OP doesn't mind, but I have another one to keep your tongues exercised..

I was taught this by my granny many many years ago and it now trips off my tongue like ahem butter.

Betty bought a bit of butter
The bit of butter Betty bought was bitter
So Betty bought another bit of better butter
To make the bit of bitter butter better.

itsgettingweird · 14/02/2024 17:17

Nope - apparently not 🫣

Boooooooooooo · 14/02/2024 17:17

No. I’ve tried about ten times 😂

notprincehamlet · 14/02/2024 17:20

With aligners - no
Without aligners - also no

Irish wristwatch.

I can say it very easily. But the more I keep saying it, the more tongue tied I get and the less it sounds like Irish Wristwatch. Comes out Iruss Switchwuss by the 5th time I say it. 😁

Jellytotsburnmytongue · 14/02/2024 17:30

Yes if I say it once. If I try repeating it over and over again I can't though 😂

AllProperTeaIsTheft · 14/02/2024 17:43

Yes. I managed to say it about 5 times fairly quickly before one went a bit wonky.

FasterthanaButteredOtter · 14/02/2024 17:50

Yes.

Scottish accent here, no bother. We say our R's strongly which helps with this phrase I think.

Fab! I love tongue twisters.
