Misery loves company - come and rant!

Feeling so utterly miserable having just been declined for car finance meaning I need to continue the 1.5 hour bus commute to and from work, leaving at 05:40am and getting home at 10pm, 3 days a week. 3 days a week where I don’t get to see my kids at all 😢 credit shot from spending 6 years raising children, and from my husband funding his mum and adult sister (a whole thread in itself). Anyway, no solutions here and more of just a rant so feel free to rant away in this safe place. 🤫

I hear ya. I left one job for another - which was supposed to be better but was actually really awful so I left. Now I've got to look for work again. Just not sure what or where 🤔.

Am trying to get a non urgent GP appointment for my DS. Feel like banging my head on a wall

madeinmanc · 14/02/2024 12:01

I'm not getting NHS treatment for something I have, I keep on having appointments over it where they order tests and a review. That wouldn't be so bad except the space between an appointment, a test, getting the results and the next appointment is months. I've been through that process twice and it's been a year in total. A whole year! All the while I have got worse, though it's an entirely treatable condition.

I don't have as much food as I'd want, I won't starve or something but I just have the minimum.

Also, today has made me think about someone I liked but who ultimately chose to be with someone else.

And I've missed the deadline to return some leggings to Lidl by one day, and they're shiny and hideously unflattering!
I don't think I could even eBay them in all good conscience.

@Toxicblackmould Sorry, I've just rambled on about myself. I also don't have a car and it really is very, very difficult unless you live in London or something. It makes everything so time-consuming. Need to pop to the shop? That'll be a couple of hours. The worst is when friends with cars moan about not having it for a day. "What am I supposed to do?" they wail at me. "What I do every day", is what I'm thinking but don't say.

@IncaAztec sorry to hear that! Sending loads of good juju your way that you find a job you love AND is well paid 👐🏻✨

@IncognitoUsername bless you! I know what a nightmare that can be, especially with your Dc. I find I get so riled up about anything that seems to be against them. Our GP is also a mess and it’s difficult to get appointments that aren’t emergency. Hope you get one soon!

@madeinmanc sorry that you’re having a hard time. I’ve been struggling with migraines and started to have hallucinations from them. GP refuses to refer to neurologist and instead prescribed propranolol and triptans which make me feel so sick I avoid taking them! Seems like the nhs is no longer fit for purpose (and I say that with such a heavy heart as a proud nhs employee!) Also I find that they don’t communicate any results with you anyway so you’re sat waiting until the next appoint (a year later!!)

likewise about the food; it’s so bloody expensive now. Good for the postpartum weight loss but definitely a struggle! Sorry about the leggings, maybe they can be your comfy bed time leggings?! X

If I win the lottery I'll buy you a car, @Toxicblackmould ! 🤞😊

Your post made me think about my health issue today, I'm going to change my GP. Enough is enough (she's actually a great doctor but the appointments are not long enough and the process has been too slow). So it was helpful to moan in a way.

IncognitoUsername · 14/02/2024 20:17

Didn’t get a GP appointment but Dr did agree with my assessment (based on photographs) that DS has stress related eczema and has at least provided a prescription. Better than nothing I guess!
