Kind of a TAAT inspired by a different thread where the OP was expecting her friendship group to provide a "friendship family unit" and had moved with her only Dc1 and they weren't "at the shared holiday phase" with anyone at the school gates yet and was expecting her old ?uni mates to invite them along so her dc didn't miss out
I know I expected university to be like something out of a frat movie but because I chose a central
London college it wasn't like that at all
I expected work to have a lot more requirement to be "busy and important in a Bridget jones kind of way" than it actually did
I expected making mum friends to be easier than it was as everyone spoke about how this "village" that you find
Is it just me? Or do we sometimes set ourselves up for things based on insufficient facts and instead base our expectations on assumptions
It's possible I am not making sense
