I've just sat through a 20 min programme by 60 mins who are normally very good.

They almost exclusively throughout refer to Madeleine McCann as "Maddie".

Madeleine's mother said in her book that her name is Madeleine. Not "Maddie".

In a similar vein, it's "James" Bulger, not "Jamie".

I’m just surprised there’s ‘new’ material on this. What on earth is there to reveal after 17 years of endless raking?

The prime suspect is about to go on trial for other crimes.

BTW I am not sure if we are allowed to discuss Madeleine's case itself.

I really just wanted to ask the media to show these children (and their families) basic courtesy by getting their names correct.
