Last minute half term trip?

I've been so busy half term crept up on me and I have not planned anything. Any cities that are good to visit in the UK with a pre teen and teen??? Or any other ideas? We have done London a lot, Bristol and surrounds are nice and live near there. Done Cardiff, York. Is Birmingham or Liverpool worth a visit?! Manchester again? South Coast?! We do like the outdoors but weather is a bit shabby right now hence thinking a city.

I don't know! Life is so expensive and such a trudge but kids are moping around and I should so Something - we haven't for a year I think.

Newcastle is pretty good.

Edinburgh is amazing but maybe not in February. Brighton. Isle of Wight, penzance? Eurostar? Eurotunnel and explore Calais and the coast nearby?

Last year I seen a company recommended on here for a holiday in the Highlands. We booked and stayed in one of there properties would highly recommend op. Escape Cottages Scotland, we had lots to keep us busy.

I'm not sure the Highlands of Scotland is a great idea in February.

Portsmouth . we spent 2 days around the harbour visiting HMS Victory, the Mary Rose , a submarine.
New Forest- pop down to Bournemouth, also visit Beaulieu motor museum.
Chester.
Edinburgh.

We specifically visit the Highlands most February's. It's fantastic!
