A Valspar paint if possible.

I like the dulux DH Drab, but I've got a B&Q gift card and they don't do it!

Something similar to this?

F&B also as I can colour match!

Valspar could colour match this i think?
Looks similar to F&B lichen although that may be slightly lighter, lovely colour though.

Valspar matches as this on their website, with submitting the photos of Drab.

I don't think it looks the same?

Valdosta will
Make any colour you take a sample for. You don't have to take their standard France (though it's huge). Every time I've taken a sample for a colour match to be custom made it's been bang on.

cardibach · 13/02/2024 10:08

Bloody hell phone. Valspar will...

cardibach · 13/02/2024 10:08

Also range, not France.

TheOneWithUnagi · 13/02/2024 10:12

It's fairly close to F&B Treron instead of lichen
Actually. But just go to the valspar counter and ask them to match it if that's what you're after :)

@cardibach can I ask you what the quality of the Valspar paints is like please? Will use them in my new house if they're good, be great to get exact colours. Ta!

Woozey · 13/02/2024 10:23

Ah thankyou.

I'll ask them to do a colour match instore and see what they come up with.

Valspar and Dulux are both good brands. Personally I am wary or store own brand paints, as my experience with them has been poor. Do consider going with a satin or wipeable paint though. You can clean it more easily than a Matt.

That’s a lovely colour but good Lord who’s idea was it to call it Drab?!!

F&B have a colour called "salon drab" as well - strange name I agree. They do have some bizarre names though, "dead salmon" as another example

Valspar is excellent especially the higher quality one, v700 I think it is. Johnstones scrubbable matt is the best paint though IMO and they do a great colour match as well (not at B&Q though to help OP)

Woozey · 13/02/2024 11:25

They also have a pink called 'sulking room' which I think i should have chosen as I often go to my room to sulk 😂

The ones in my house are great.
Living room is a copy of inchrya blue from Fallow and Ball. Decorator said it was great to use and coverage was good. It’s hard to get a picture because it looks different in different lights when photographed! This is an old one from right after it was painted. It seems hardwearing too - I used Valspar in the hall and it’s doing well (that was using two of their standard colours but they are mixed the same way).
