What does * mean? 🤔

The player is playing in hard mode.
This means you have to use the letters already identified. So you can't use 2 starter words or elimination words. You turn it on in settings
Elimination words are when you have lots of possible solutions and use a word that can't be the answer but may rule out some possibilities. E.g. if you have _atch you might play the word plumb to see if patch latch match batch might be the answer.
In hard mode you have guess each of those possible words one at a time

It's hard mode @Musntapplecrumble you have to use any revealed letters so you can't use an elimination word
