I Need a bit of help . I have made a really negative shitty thread. I'm (meant) to be moving on from all that shit . I think i have been like it because I have not had anything to focus on. I have felt it building over the past few days or so. So I need to do something within my house that's positive. That I can get tucked into. That can keep me busy with a positive outcome. Any suggestions 🤔

Have you got a garden? How about a list of things you can grow from seed and place an online order? Sunflower's etc that grow quickly and are easy! Just a suggestion.

I do want to do the garden . I don't want to grow from seed though. It keeps raining and is pretty wet . So I don't think that will work yet . Once there are a couple of days of no rain I can .

@Forchatting yes I'm not starting anything from seed yet, just enjoying the planning 😊. Hope you get some positive replies with ideas soon.

Get a Pinterest account and get some ideas together for your garden. Maybe get some pots together ready for spring bedding plants

How about some self care?
I read your other thread and you sounded so down on yourself, I have been thinking about you.
Nothing expensive, in fact you will have everything you need in the house already.
A manicure.. soak your fingers tips in some warm water, push back the cuticles, massage in some hand cream, body lotion, hair conditioner even, wrap your hand in a warm towel and listen to some nice music.
Mix some sugar and butter, marg, oil, whatever and use as a scrub if you dont have the real stuff, then rinse off and use the body lotion..
I know you said you are carrying a bit of weight but there are loads of stretching videos on you tube etc... some you can do seated..

Consider how far you have come, how much you have achieved.. and keep making those plans... you will get there!

I was meaning house things not selfcare . I have already put myself on a downer on my other thread. My house is something that I'm leaning more towards positive feeling . I'm not ready for the personal stuff yet . Hence why I made this thread to lean. Towards something I feel I can achieve

Just a thought but have you taken any time to just enjoy what you have done in your home yet? I know you have vastly improved your living room, have you just sat in yet? Read a book on the sofa? Watched a film? Just relaxed a bit?

I get the impression you are tired and running out of steam, I think a bit of selfcare is needed, have few days off and start next week with a new plan

thebabessavedme · 12/02/2024 19:37

btw, you can still have a positive outlook towards the house, just do general cleaning and tidying for a few days, recharge and then throw yourself into your next project, you are only human, not a machine.

Do you have a spare notebook lying around? Or a pretty folder or something? As maybe you could make a kind of journal for your house, with different sections in it. You could sit in your lovely living room (I have been following your threads and loved what you did with it), and make a section for what you have done so far, a section for what you are currently doing, and a section for future planning- so while you can't get out in the garden yet because of the weather, you could draw out layout ideas, write down ideas for what plants where, browse online for plant pots/ edging stones/ write down what equipment if any you need, what you already have etc. So you have something to look at which shows what you have done, and something that shows what your dreams are. Then after you have done the tasks, move them to the 'completed' section and write about what you thnk went well in another section of the notebook and what you are learning about everything as you are going?

I kind of do that already. Via my amazon basket 😅. I do wish the weather would change though

Last week of May you can plant little plants straight into borders. You can start digging it ready to plant once it's dryer.

Also didn't you say you were going to do your teens room next? Have you asked them yet what they would like? Make sure you build storage into the teen room so they can keep their room tidier. No excuses from them then.

There's always an excuse for a teenager. She's not being clear about what she wants. Money is a bit short at the moment to.
