I am currently painting my daughter’s bedroom and howww am I so bad at this?!

it looks crap. It’s patchy. But the worst part is when I go round at the end and take off the frog tape it is taking half the FUCKING PAINT OFF WITH IT!!! 😡😡

How do I stop this happening?? It’s now all white and jaggy looking around the edges and I need to go back with a tiny brush and FOR FUCKS SAAAAAKE 😩😩

…sorry. It has been a very very long day of painting so far….

Why are you using frog tape? Are you doing some sort of design?

Breathe

Make a brew

Leave it for now and come back to it when you have a clearer mind

You might be putting it on too thick if it's flaking off with the masking tape. Or you are ripping it off really fast, you might need to go slower.

Are you applying it with a roller or a paintbrush?

Also yes this.

Sometimes if you're looking too close you'll get all perfectionistic when it actually looks fine from further away which is where you'll see it anyway.

I’m using frog tape so that the paint doesn’t go on the ceiling or skirting boards. Then I am going round the edges with a paintbrush and rollering in the middle.

😞 it’s a large wine I need.
