  1. I think I will resign from job I had for 6 months
  2. I am now looking for professional outside of law, finance, accountancy, education etc. where a standard DBS check will be needed as in the next few years, I may be facing a drug/dui charge
  3. What should I say to the next employer? Ad what industry can I go into?

Too many questions here …

I left a job after about 4 months and just say “it wasn’t the role for me”. Nobody really asks questions though, I don’t think it’s really that unusual to have a one off short stint.

However, if you are leaving because of the drink/drug driving, your position might be a little different and I’m no help with that 😬

If you actually got behind the wheel of your car whilst drunk/on drugs, with a bit of luck, your career will be absolutely fucked for good.
