I'm a long time poster but I've named changed.
My mum has had a very close friend since childhood, she's my god mother and I've known her my whole life. This lady, we'll call her Sandra, has always been quite vocal but at the same time a real support to our family and we loved her. Anyways over the last 2 years she has been really starting fights with my mum over silly things and getting quite aggressive and bringing up (nonsense) things from the past and then twisting them to suit her narrative. She has said that my step dad is really rude and doesn't like her yet this is completely untrue my step father goes out of his way to cut grass, clean windows, sort out car things etc etc she is getting so bad my mum is starting to dread being in her company as she is always but picking and starting fights.
I've wondered could this be the onset of dementia or some other illness. Could this is the case?
