Build up vitamins, suggestions need

I had throat cancer eight years ago, as a result of treatment and scarring my swallow is tiny.

However it gets worse at this time of the year, I have permanent sinusitis ( which I suspect is not helping)

Anyway I had that covid not covid virus eight weeks ago and I just can not raise my game.

So to the question, I need to sort this out, it looks like vitamins and minerals will not be forthcoming from my diet until my throat eases up.

I already take high strength Vit D and use a light box.

In my Amazon basket I have the following.

Zinc
Magnesium
Multi vitamin

All of this will need to be whizzed up in the Ninja with Almond milk, banana and some yoghurt. Not the most pleasant but what can't be cured, must be endured.

So dear MNer's am I missing anything obvious.

I spent six months in bed and lost six stone in six months, so this was my breakfast for years I feel in some ways it is a retrograde step, but again back to cured and endured.

B12
Omegas

I use under the tongue sprays and dissolvable tablets where possible. I find I absorb it so much better than through my stomach.

Yes. Get the Better You vitamin sprays, no need to swallow. You can get them from Boots, Holland and Barrett and Superdrug.

I use their Vitamin D 3000 with KS2 (the K helps with D absorption), Iron and Vitamin B12. I also have a chewable Vitamin C tablet.

Yes I’d use a spray or liquid too. Life’s to short to grind up tablets.

When dh had a trachy I had to grind tablets for his rig feed tube, your wrist gets tired of it very quickly.

I would add in some Sambucol tonic, I'll find a link.

Sambucol Immuno Forte Black Elderberry Formula | Holland & Barrett (hollandandbarrett.com) available from other chemists.

Might be worth runnning your proposed combo of supplements past your GP/Nurse?

I hope you feel better soon.

I have a morning smoothie made with kefir, frozen fruit, fresh turmeric, bee pollen, greens powder, flaxseed, Brazil nut and CoQ10 powder, collagen powder, probiotic powder and spatone iron supplement. I really enjoy it now I've got used to the taste and it a great start to the day with a big hit of vitamins and minerals.
