What are you PROUD OF today?

Inspired by another thread I just found again...

We spend far too much time putting ourselves down when things don't go right.

Today, I am ill (recovering from what appears to be the flu) but I have had my 7-y.o. happily hoovering the house and now reading while waiting for food. It might not be his favourite thing to do, but he knows I'm not well and is showing compassion, in his own, little way.

I'm proud I have stayed awake for 6hours do far... really unwell in bed, trying to get into a better body clock to stay awke more in the day and sleep better at night

I am unproud today. Ate a family bag of revels at 11am. Slacking at work. May have been accidentally rude to my mother yesterday. I just want it to be summer.

So you gave yourself a bit of self-care. Nothing to be ashamed of.

We spend far too much time putting ourselves down.

I'm proud I got out of bed at 6am today, ready for a gas engineer (who is, of course, late). While getting us all ready and making the first batch of pancakes.

I am very proud of my sourdough loaf I made this morning! It looks and smells fabulous and I can't wait until lunchtime to eat it!

If it makes you feel any better MorrisZapp, I was deliberately rude to my mother this week... It was uncalled for and I regret it I'm definitely not proud. (I apologised properly an hour or so later, and her response was that she knew me and that I was just stressed about x thing and that she was proud of me in general, always 😭❤️).

Yesterday I was trying to finish a long task and no doubt looking a bit frazzled and young teenage DC walked past, glanced at me and declared "you need a cuppa, hang on". A few minutes later the best cuppa I'd had all day was delivered with an "I love you" and a smile. I must have done something right somewhere I reckon 😊
