Power cut!

Just that really.

Power went out about 40 mins ago. There has been an outage in the street behind us, and a few houses in our street, for the last 2 hours.

A few houses came back on, and most of our street went out.

The engineers are on site already, but don't know what has caused it.

Got candles, power bank and a pre filled hot water bottle. DH knows not to open the fridge/freezer!

What a nightmare! Hope power is restored soon. Did you all manage to have some food before the power cut? I remember being a teen at home with a power cut because of bad weather for 9 hours. I was eating plain bread to ease the hunger lol

There is a fault in the underground cable, apparently a team from the next city over are being sent to dig up the road.

I always dread power cuts. Without power or Wi-Fi we are cut off completely as mobile internet/signal non existent. With autistic teens that's a tricky one, trust me. Hope they restore it soon.

That sounds tough!

Thankfully, we have good mobile signal in some parts of the house.

Usually set the dishwasher off overnight, and do a load of washing.

Can't even catch up on Gladiators!
