Recommendations wanted for a birthday cake thank you please!

My soon to be 19 year old ds has asked for a coffee and walnut cake for his birthday, so does anybody have any lovely recipes they swear by or can anyone recommend one from an online shop that delivers them nationwide?

This is the very best coffee & walnut cake I’ve ever made. DH always requests it for his birthday.
I don’t bother with camp essence, I just use a couple of spoons of instant and add a tiny bit of water.

Ooh lovely suggestions, thank you! If I make one I want it to be nice and not dry. I’ve never made a coffee and walnut before.

mine is definitely not dry. It’s so moorish we generally eat far too many slices each so it never gets the chance to dry out!

This is the Delia cake that I make. I don't bother with the syrup, and just make a coffee buttercream in place of the mascarpone filling and icing.
