It's going to be my sons first world book day this year and I have no idea what to dress him up as!!

When I aak him, he just wants 'superheros' but he always dresses up as that

I would like something that I could do myself rather than just buying an outfit (was gong to look on vinted to purchase items I needed )

Any ideas please? I was thinking Where's wally but I know that's quite a popular one , he likes all kinds of books so it's hard to choose from that, would like something a bit different

Ours always went as someone/something from a book they had actually read, or had had read to them. Wimpy kid featured a lot, as did Arthur dent later on.

So my advise would be to find inspiration somewhere there.

Harry Potter - wears school uniform, just draw a zig zag on his head and make some round glasses out of cardboard.
For girls - Sophie from BFG - wear pyjamas and dressing gown
Where's wally actually tricky if you don't have a red and white stripy top.

Mine have been things like the worst witch, a fish, George from Famous Five, Harry Potter, Claude the dog

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, ordinary clothes, and make a Golden Ticket.
