Parking in Blackpool / help!

Really after advice from anyone local.
I absolutely hate parking in Blackpool and I'm off there today with my children.
Where is best to park, Saturday lunch time, close to town?
Will be staying a couple of hours.
I am not a confident driver and find the one way system difficult so please, nothing complicated 😂🙈
Anyone able to help a gal out?!

I always park in the one next to coral island as it's easy to get to but depends on which way you're coming from and if the footballs at home!

I find behind the winter gardens easier - Adelaide Street :)

Is this an actual car park or street parking? Do you think it'd be ok Saturday lunch time at all? :)

Somewhere out of town where you can then get the tram perhaps?

Newdoggo · 10/02/2024 07:49

Car Park, there are usually spaces although there are on street spaces around there too, opposite the School pay and display, can usually find somewhere to park then just walk down to Hounds Hill, looks like it's actually called Alfred Street Car park Blackpool FY1 4JR

Sainsbury's multi story is free for 3 hours. It's up near the train station and a short walk to the prom.

FrancisSeaton · 10/02/2024 07:59

Last time we went I hired a parking space which was on someone's drive a five minute walk from coral island. Was much cheaper than one of the main car parks and we were able to come and go as needed

Tanfastic · 10/02/2024 07:59

As above if you don't mind a little walk Sainsbury's opposite the train station is free for a couple of hours.

Other than that I'd say head for the Hounds Hill car park in the town centre

I hate to say it that everywhere in Blackpool on a Saturday lunchtime will be packed for parking (apart from the big Sainsbury's). Last time I ventured into town on a Saturday I ended up on the top floor of hounds hill car park. So you will get a space but expect it to be busy especially half term week.

We always park at Hounds Hill.

West street car park 🤫) but go to the top ( middle layers are too tight).
