I m going to be visiting relatives in Devon with my dog who unfortunately won't poo whilst on a lead , just wondered if anyone can recommend a park or a field I can stop off to on route for a leg stretch and to break the journey

There’s a service area at Hook.

Can highly recommend Teals which is a minute off the A303. It has an enclosed field for dogs, a lovely cafe and restaurant, gift shop and farm shop.

Ooh thanks @DuckDuckGoosieGander that looks perfect for my next trip. Thanks also to @gindreams for asking, I would never have thought to.

Not right on the A303, but only a 10 minute detour to Castle Hill Country Park on the northern outskirts of Salisbury. There’s a little car park (SP1 3WD) and right next to it is a fenced off field for dogs to have a run around - agility equipment, too. No cafe, unfortunately, but a Harvester pub, the Old Castle, nearby!
