Flying tonight...Can you take stuff bought in the airport onto an easyjet flight...

...if you only have the free under seat case allowance? Friends I am travelling with are planning to buy toiletries at the airport but we can't find out on their website whether an airport shopping bag is officially allowed.

Another always takes a neck pillow. Will that be allowed on?

Thanks in advance.

You're allowed one duty free bag/airport shop bag. I always buy something small from duty free and then fill up the bag with my own things thay don't fit in my case/rucksack.

If you buy airside (once you've gone through bag security) you're fine.

I agree with the above answers but I'm not sure what happens if it won't fit under the seat in front with your other bag. Are you allowed to put it in the overhead locker?

I think the rules for duty free are separate. Most (but notably not Jet2) allow one duty free bag as additional luggage. Jet2 count this duty free bag as your luggage instead of a handbag. How well enforced it is I don't know though.

I remember reading that other items, non duty free, should technically fit in the hand luggage you have with you rather than being allowed separate shopping bags.

Yes. Anything you buy airside can be taken on board, subject to your airline’s baggage rules. Stuff you buy landside is subject to the same security rules as stuff you buy outside the airport.

Following with interest as our holiday only has 15kg allowance and I’ve added a large cabin bag and also wondering if a litre of spirits can be brought onboard x 2 of us after security, or does that also have to fit into our cabin bag and small bag. 2 have small bag only, one small plus cabin case. 15kg in the hold

EasyJet also.
