I don’t like David Tennant, can’t put my finger on why he just seems a bit creepy. I’m sure he’s not I just don’t like him.

I don’t have kids. Who TF is Mr Tumble 😂😂😂

So far as I can tell from MN he’s a creepy wrong un with no manners, an anger issue and poor people skills who everyone takes their kids to meet

Apparently he is CBeebies royalty. 🫅 lol

Caitlin Moran
Jon Ronson

I can't bear either of them.
Totally overinflated opinions of themselves. Awful speaking voices. I have to turn off when they're on.

Isn't that just his eyebrows?

This ^ 🤣

When I first took the plunge and dared to have my eyebrows waxed and tinted, the first thing DS said to me when I got home was ‘Mummy you look angry’ 🤣🤣

I don't like Neil Oliver, either. I used to years ago, when he was on Coast, but I've gone right off him.

I used to really like him when he was on Coast but completely went off him during all the Covid shenanigans! Was really surprised and disappointed!

Isn’t he a right-wing conspiracy theorist with a slot on that news programme.

I want to hear more of your barfly stories!

Honestly there were not that many... but once in the downstairs bar of The Social we spotted a woman in a wedding dress floating around - guess who?? Bjork! She looked amazing but totally bonkers!

At Jerusalem you'd regularly see people like Rufus Sewell, sometimes Zoe Ball or Denise Van Outen and Johnny Vaughan. And quite a few DJs, so Fat Boy Slim etc. To be fair to all of them, they were all very nice. Didn't really have much interaction but saw Zoe in toilets once, perfectly normal person.

Out clubbing we once ran into I think John Sim and another guy from a 90s/00s series set in the Lake District. Very easy to speak to and were either in the main area (of a club called Mass in Brixton), I think we got them into the VIP area.

One person who’s a very z list celeb is Gemma Collins.

Z List?!! When did she get promoted?

OK below Z list.

It was a time though when my best mate was really into that Towie scene and going where they went. So I had to get all fake tanned up and chicken fillets in too tight dresses and high heels. This was when I was 35-early 40s. We saw Arg (James Argent) and one or two of the bitchier males. I have no idea who they were though! There was a bi-racial girl in Towie and she was a cousin of someone I knew who lived near me (not near Essex), don't think she was in it long, I think she's called Dani Imbert.

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 12/02/2024 09:41

Now I live in SE London - hardly see anyone famous!

Les Dennis (if anyone remembers him) always gave me the creeps. As does Michael McIntyre. I can't stand Stacey Solomon either. For those speaking about people like Ant and Dec, it's well known that they had a big party lifestyle and at a house owned by Ant. Say no more. I can't stand Ant - he just looks sleazy and not quite there.

Mark Owen - I actually wrote a post here about him bit bitchy when he was at an after party for Lauren Hill at a school in Stockwell, SW London after she did a gig at Brixton Academy and wanted a 'local school' to hold her after party in, where he got off with a woman who was 'overweight'. Apologies for that post as it was a bit nasty! Anyway he is very smiley and friendly I can attest to that! The after party was full of people like Natalie Imbruglia (tiny and can't dance), a couple of DJs and people I didn't know/recognise. It was quite funny because me and my best mate went there and her boyfriend was in legal dept (quite high up) for MTV (Viacom I think?) group so what was how we got on guest lists for e.g. The Cross club and other places. When the boyfriend found out he was most put out as to how 'we' were invited (my DM worked there as a teacher so got us invites!) and not him! It's funny though, in that sort of party - they assume you are one of them and treat you accordingly, so in film/tv/media - even if you're not - I wasn't - just was a PA but for very small publisher/syndication agency for DM/ES group can't think of owners in South Ken, friend was legal sec for firm who acted for Princess Di.

I can also attest as DB worked with him that Guy Pearce, Damian Lewis who DB worked with on A Spy Amongst Friends are all lovely! DB now trying to get out of film/TV as long hours and working away and he's older (50) doesn't work with with his 5 year old DS and 4 month old baby boy!

See I can give or take both of those - CM gives me the rage a bit but JR seems ok.

Oh I love John Sim! And loved The Lakes that he was in years ago. I think it was his breakout role. Saw him more recently guest DJing in Manchester.

Thanks for sharing! :)

I actually like Katherine Ryan. So nice have the kids thing normalised. You never get anyone admitting to cosleeping.

I agree. Her new show is really good. I don't find her stand up very funny though, but I rarely laugh at any stand up comedy

Mermaidsarereal · 12/02/2024 11:28

Probably not really classed as a celeb but I really dislike that mum from the 22 kids and counting programme. I don't know why or what it is about her just something I can't put my finger on!

Katherine Ryan's desert Island discs is great I wasn't keen on her comedy but as an I actual person she seems pretty decent.

She’s very sharp – I saw her on programmes like Frankie Boyle’s show talking about social issue / politics and she’s obviously very intelligent

You're welcome. See I told you it was boring!

Most of them are just using parts of London to run errands and have a life. I saw Charlie Brooks too with a friend when she was properly in EE (the Barry time I think) and she was sitting at the back of Selfridges at a small cafe at a table with some Selfridges bags - I was with my sister and she pointed her out to me. CB has a RBF (resting bitch face) but she looked lovely and smiley! I think also, generally with them, they know that if paps are around and they're making a scene or being overly rude, then if a pap is around (was in days before camera phones) then they'd be papped.

My-Kleen Arse though, she looks so smug. In fact, I can take or leave Amanda Holden/Anthea Turner/Lorraine Kelly because even though they are smug looking they're not annoying per se. Someone like Cheryl Cole (who I always thought looked like a hard faced bitch) I never liked but not really an opinion but when it came out she'd verbally racially abused a toilet attendant I wasn't surprised at all. In London as in most other cities the poor toilet attendants in clubs don't have an easy job and to be rude to them is a dick move, especially off a celeb. There was someone else, forget who, but introduced to them... actor I think in Portobello Road at a restaurant. But they were fine!

Pity her DM Esther Rantzen is rumoured to be such a bitch then! And Maureen Lipman apparently too. Who'd have thunk it?

JMSA · 11/02/2024 19:39

I do think Naomi Campbell would be a horror.

I know someone who's met Naomi Campbell and said she's lovely - very chatty. She's from Streatham which though it used to be naice in certain parts is a bit urban too, so not surprised if she's put on a front in public or with others, especially as one of the few successful black super models out there. Also, as DB would say (he used to be a photographer too, nothing special a few magazines and pack shot which is numerous photos of e.g. bags for dept store website) if you're not nice, cooperative etc as a model or crew you don't get work, generally. Of course bitching goes on, photographers can be leery etc but you have to get on to get the photos taken!

What!!!!! Esther Ranzten is CW’s mum??!?!!? GTFOH. I’m so 😲 by this I haven’t even googled before replying. Obv now off to google! 😂

CorBlimeyGuvna · 12/02/2024 14:59

Ohhhh her mum is Eve Pollard, which makes a lot more sense. She looks like her and has similar sort of manner. Can see how EP could get confused with ER actually. They do look kind of similar
