Cystoscope….. honest opinions…

Evening all! I will have to have a cystoscopy in the next few weeks and am shitting myself.
Has anyone out there had one and prepared to give me an idea of how painful these are. Feel silly as am a medic, but never had this done or seen one being performed and am really starting to stress about it.
Any experience out there that you’re willing to share…?

Not had one but I’m a nurse who has chaperoned them before.

I’ve had them compared to an IUD insertion ‘but not as bad’ several times when I’ve asked the patient about their pain.

I’ve had one under general anaesthetic. It burned when I pee’d quite badly for a couple of hours but by that evening I was fine. Not prying but if it’s for an IC diagnosis I know a fair bit about that if you need any advice.

Not going to lie, it definitely pinched when it went in and came out but was fine otherwise. Didn’t hurt when I weed after.
