Kids newspapers?

Hi, does anyone have any recommendations of children’s newspapers? I’ve seen the week junior and first news, are there any others? Does anyone have any thoughts on which they prefer?
For an 8 year old if relevant.
Does anyone know of the week junior/ first news have any gender stuff in it? And if they do, what angle do they take?

We still get the week junior way past the recommended age, we read it together during a weekend dinner, especially the debate page that's great entertainment and it starts many a conversation where the kids get their voices heard on a non-personal topic.

Not sure what you mean about "gender stuff"?

It includes black history month, mental health and relationships of all colours but it's not a propaganda read to turn someone trans.

Probably stuff like calling a male a woman. Or vice-a-versa. Promoting the idea sexist stereotypes are what defines you as a woman/ man. Is stuff about mermaids etc in there? Is it a biologically honest publication? Or do they just not cover that stuff given the target age range? I’m guessing anyway. Sort of questions I have so following with interest.

Also interested in first news vs week junior!

We recently swapped The Week Junior for The Week as DS is 15, and I miss the Junior version. It is very balanced, looks for the positives in awful news and always has an interesting/funny/unusual human interest story. I don't remember masses of gender stuff. There was a readers poll once where readers would write in with opinions about mixed toilets in schools - it was a "what do you think?" type piece. There was a Pride edition in the summer.

I'd recommend it.
