What's "cool" at your kid's primary school?

Just purchased DS some infinity pencils as "everyone has them Mum!"

He got an air up bottle for Christmas too and they are still a big thing.

Just a thought, wondering what's cool in everyone's primary school at the moment? Or early secondary I guess.

Also what are the "cool" bags and jackets now? In my youth it was a Jane Norman bag and a Peter Storm jacket 😂 thankfully ds isn't bothered with these things... yet.

We get at least a thrice weekly message regarding one that has gone missing - the parents obvs kick off as they are so expensive. Here's an idea, don't buy your 6yo a £40 water bottle!!!

I suspect my school will be banning expensive water bottles before long.

Oh I forgot about those. So far I've only seen a few girls with them so they might get more popular here yet 🤔

Those awful Stanley Quencher bottles. I haven’t seen an Air Up around for a long time now but the replacement is worse.

North face coats in older primary/secondary schools. Smiggle bottles with the water spray. Football cards (which are now banned).

DDs school is quite good in that you’re not allowed backpacks in, only basic school book bags and the kids don’t take pencil cases or anything like that. So trends are limited! There’s a shop in town that sells kids hair bows and things (like a bougie Claire’s) that’s very popular. Also DD was very insistent that her pinafore had to have a zip with with a charm on it, not buttons.
