Tomorrow, I'm going to be out from 5.30am and not home again till about 11 at night.

I need to take food with me for the whole day, and I'm feeling completely uninspired.

What would you take?

I will have access to a microwave and a kettle.

What facilities will you have available to you, or are you just relying on a lunch box/cool bag/flask situation?

overnight oats for breakfast
soup and a sandwich for lunch
something you can reheat for dinner e.g. pasta or chilli & rice
fruit and snacks for throughout the day

Overnight oats is a great shout!! Not sure why I didn't think of that.

Won't be able to reheat anything for dinner - that'll be on a train. I might be able to buy something in the train station though.

Thank you :)

Do you have a Thermos pot or can you borrow one for supper? I’d do pasta with pesto, peas, mushrooms and a protein.

FluffyBooBoo · 09/02/2024 13:52

I do, but it's not going to heep things hot for over 12 hours.

Ooh, but I could heat it up at lunchtime at the venue.. that's a possibility.

ah M&S picnic then if you're on the train! Have something substantial and hot for lunch then a nice salad and little bottle of wine on the way home.
