Can’t sleep so I’m reminiscing and inspired by my own life, do you have an ex that was pretty much perfect but terrible timing in getting together?
I’m fighting stage4 breast cancer and an ex found out and contacted me. Both in happy marriages but after a while, he apologized for being immature, even though he wasn’t. That apology was for 17 years ago.
So after that I was thinking do you have one that got away purely for timing purposes?
I was coming up to 33 and wanted kids. We were together for 4 blissful years, he was 25 and whilst he wanted to get married he also, wanted to chase his career and delay having kids for another 4-5 years (I had done that and I was in a good career place). I didn’t want to wait that long for various reasons including various family IVFs. We broke up and while I tried to date, I had a terrible year to get over him.
We both had happy endings, and I had a DD before my 35th birthday pretty much as soon as we TTC. He married and had a DS at 38.
So, anyone with a good person but bad timing story? Or did you compromise to get a happy ending?
