Relying on the kindness of strangers - anyone near Bexhill-on-sea?

Hi, long time MNer but NCed for this. I know this is a bit of an ask but hoping someone on the south cost might be able to help me please?

Long story but my BF was visiting Eastbourne last weekend and agreed to collect something from a nearby store on click and collect. However, he completely let me down and didn’t bother to collect it. I’m so upset with him, he knew it was really important and I’ve helped him a lot over the years but he couldn’t do this one small thing for me. This feels like the final straw for our relationship but still leaves me stuck.

It’s out of stock everywhere else and I can’t get an answer from the shop about whether it’s coming back into stock. I’m hoping against hope that someone might be able to collect it for me and post to Yorkshire. I will of course pay the packaging & postage, petrol money and for the time otherwise I’ll have to drive a 10 hour round trip to get it this weekend.

Please can anyone help? I’d be so so grateful

Can't help sadly but can you arrange to have it delivered from the store instead, what shop is it, do they have a customer services department you can ring or email .

Thanks for replying @TraitorsGate. It’s a national chain but this particular item is store only unfortunately. There are a couple of stores in London that have stock so that’s my plan B as that’s only a 7 hour round trip! Plan C is to pay a courier but I’m being quoted £150-£250

Can you call the individual store, explain the situation and ask if theres anyway they can post it? It may help if you ask to speak to the manager...

Thanks so much for replying @4Bangles. Cricklewood, Greenwich, Tottenham, Acton, Sydenham, Stanmore and Eltham all have stock. It’s five rolls of wallpaper that I’ve already bought matching paint for (lessoned learnt about getting the paper first!).

I live 2 mins from eltham high street and round the corner from greenwich!
