Crap at picking paint colours

I think this is an odd subject even before I write it down so I don’t blame you if you want to skip it 🙈
I am trying to pick a colour for my north facing living room which looks depressing in February. I’ve got several tester pots and my living room walls look stripey! I can’t make up my mind what to do! Aggghhhhh help!
My couch is burnt orange colour. Curtains are white background with an ochre/grey pattern (small). I can’t afford to change either but the room needs some brightening up.
Ive got a few days off next week and I want to make it look spring/summer, bright and happy.

If you are still reading this, what would you choose?

Our back is north facing. We have just painted it off white Timeless by Dulux. Nice and bright.

Thank you! Will go and check it out!

I'd lean into the darkness and make it cosy rather than try to warm it up. My north facing living room is dark green but with the colours you already have, I'd suggest a bright navy blue. I have Little Greene Royal Navy in my dining room but if that was north facing I'd have gone for Deep Space Blue. It's dark blue but very bright.
