I was going through the same and I’ve started taking vitamin b2 and coq10 as advised by a pharmacist. No more daily headaches within a week - definitely perimenopause reated.

Were you taking paracetamol a lot too?

DaisyCat33 · 09/02/2024 21:09

I had terrible headaches when I used to take the contraceptive pill. Hormones can absolutely cause headaches. I'd suggest seeing your GP, maybe try drinking more water and cut down caffeine if you drink it?

How many paracetamol per day are you taking?

LuciferRising · 10/02/2024 18:09

Does the paracetamol have codeine in?

CrunchyCarrot · 10/02/2024 18:11

Rebound headaches, OP. Been there, done that. Please start reducing them.

How did you sort it? Would love some tips?

You simply start reducing how often you take them. If you develop a headache, don't take any. You may not be able to do that every time, but by reducing how often you are taking painkillers, you are definitely helping your body recover.

I used to take a lot, so trying to go from that to nothing is pretty hard, sometimes you just have to sit out a headache. Not fun but has to be done. Keep well hydrated! For me I'd say every month I'd reduce by half of what I'd taken the month before - I am geeky enough to keep records of such things! Now I hardly ever have headaches and if I do it'll be a dehydration headache, easy to fix.

I was and stopped taking any painkillers within days of starting vitamins.

fromBodentoBandM · 11/02/2024 14:37

@Brrrrrrrrrritscold which vitamins did you take?
@CrunchyCarrot I like the idea of documenting it so you can seee how far you have come

Is your headache always in the same place? Could be tight muscles in your neck.

Maybe drink more water.

Eye test?

If you use your phone a lot for texting/surfing this could be the problem.

lockdownrainbow · 16/02/2024 19:26
