attendance allowance on salary?

I've applied for a job. The role states the salary is 27k + 3k attendance allowance. Anyone know what this is!? Apparently is it paid quarterly with a bigger lump sum at year end.

I've never applied for a more professional job, this is a first for me!

I've not heard of this, and I work in Finance. Maybe it's just not my sector - could you disclose sector in case that helps?

Normally attendance allowance is a form of benefit you can receive for some types of disability but it can't be that!

Its a private occupational health testing company. I think its an attendance bonus scheme doing a bit more research! I doubt they offer government benefits to anyone who gets it... it perplexed me when it came up on the search as that!

I'd ask lots of questions. If they need to offer you a bonus for turning up, that suggests they have an issue with staff absence.

You need to know why that might be.

I'd ask in interview. Is it possibly a hybrid role and the bonus is for coming into the office?

I've had a preliminary interview today and really liked the sound of it and the person interviewing. I've got a secondary interview on Friday so will be probing! Thanks everyone.
